There is no single best beach in El Nido. Each beach offers a different setting and experience, depending on how you want to spend your time by the sea. This guide presents a selection of beaches to help you choose what suits you best.
Caalan beach
Caalan Beach is a calm, local shoreline just at less than 100 meters from Masayana, lined with coconut trees and opening to wide views of Cadlao Island. At one end of the beach, fishermen repair their boats, giving the area a quiet, everyday rhythm.
- Access: 3-minute walk from Masayana Hotel.
- Why we like it: Local atmosphere, amazing sunsets from June to November.
- The beach: Sandy and natural with rocky areas; not ideal for swimming at low tide.
- Amenities: Limited dining options nearby.

Malugao beach
Hidden beyond Caalan, Malugao beach is a quiet, natural cove reached by a short jungle walk. Remote and untouched, it rewards the effort with calm water, palm shade, and a sense of seclusion away from humans.
- Access: Dangerous! 15-minute walk from Masayana, crossing rocks and a hilly jungle path.
- Why we like it: no civilization, only nature reigns.
- The beach: Sandy and swimmable with clear water.
- Amenities: None; completely natural.

El Nido beach
Located in the heart of town, El Nido beach is lively and social, with a wide stretch of sand facing the bay. It’s a place to walk, sit by the sea, and feel the rhythm of town life.
- Access: 14-minute walk from Masayana Hotel.
- Why we like it: Central location and vibrant atmosphere.
- The beach: Not suitable for swimming due to boat traffic.
- Amenities: Restaurants, bars, and shops.

Corong corong beach
Corong-corong beach is a long stretch of sand and palms along Bacuit Bay, located a bit outside El Nido downtown. Lined with restaurants and bars, it remains more open and less crowded than the town beach, offering space to walk, sit by the sea, and watch the amazing sunset.
- Access: 10-minute ride by tricycle or motorbike from Masayana Hotel.
- Why we like it: Sunsets from December to May and the views over Bacuit Bay.
- The beach: Not suitable for swimming due long sandy shoreline with some rocky or coral areas.
- Amenities: Many restaurants and bars directly along the beach.

Maremegmeg beach
Maremegmeg Beach, also known as Las Cabanas, is a relaxed beach and ideal spot for swimming, sunbathing, and enjoy unforgettable sunsets.
- Access: 15-minute ride by tricycle or motorbike from Masayana Hotel.
- Why we like it: Easy swimming and sunsets.
- The beach: Excellent for swimming.
- Amenities: Restaurants, bars, and beach activities.

Lio beach and beyond
- Access: 20–30 minute ride from Masayana Hotel.
- Why we like it: A 1h walkable coastline with changing scenery.
- The beach: Suitable for swimming, with different sections ranging from developed to more natural. Warning with Niknik!
- Amenities: Restaurants, cafés, and shops in Lio area; no services along Dalimatan and Lamoro.

Nacpan beach
Nacpan Beach is a four-kilometer beach north of El Nido that feels different from the town beaches. Its length invites long walks and time by the water. The sea here has more movement, which attracts surfers on some days and allows for swimming when conditions are calm. It’s important to note that while the water can be great for surfing, there is also a rip curl current present, so you should take precautions when swimming.

- Why we like it: A 1h walkable coastline with changing scenery.
- The beach: Wide sandy beach. Swimmable on calm days; waves can be stronger at times. Warning with Niknik!

Duli beach
Duli Beach lies north of El Nido and feels removed from the busier areas around town. Known for its long curve of sand and consistent waves, it has become a reference point for surfing in the region. The setting is quiet and rural, with very little around beyond the beach itself. It’s important to note that while the water can be great for surfing, there is also a rip curl current present, so you should take precautions when swimming.
- Access: 50 minute ride from Masayana Hotel.
- Why we like it: Strong surf and quiet surroundings.
- The beach: Wide sandy beach with powerful waves; ideal for surfing, precaution while swimming due to currents. Warning with Niknik!
- Amenities: Very limited.
