Move, explore, and slow down

El Nido offers great activities such as island hopping, quiet beaches, hidden waterfalls, coral reefs, caves, and open shores shaped by wind and sea. Whenever you feel ready to explore, simply let us know — we’ll help you arrange the experience.

Canopy walk

The canopy walk in El Nido offers a gentle way to see the landscape from above. Suspended over the treetops, the walkway opens wide views of forested hills and surrounding mountains.

The walk takes around 30 minutes, with several viewpoints along the way — an unhurried experience shaped by height, space, and perspective.

Ille cave

Ille Cave, set in the quiet Dewil Valley, is both a natural and archaeological site. Evidence found here traces human presence in the area back more than 12,000 years, offering a rare connection to El Nido’s distant past.

Visitors explore the cave through its natural chambers, with simple information panels along the way. A flashlight is recommended, as some areas are dark and uneven, and the experience invites slow, mindful movement through rock formations shaped over thousands of years.

Kayaking

Kayaking in El Nido can be done from the shore towards nearby islands or along the calm waters of the Lio River. Both offer a gentle way to move through the landscape, whether surrounded by open sea or quiet mangroves.

We recommend staying mindful of wind and weather conditions before heading out.

Kitesurfing

Sibaltan and Teneguiban are two of the most suitable places for kitesurfing around El Nido. Open shorelines, steady winds, and calm waters create welcoming conditions for both beginners and more experienced riders.

In Teneguiban, Amihan Kite Windsurf Cafe, local kitesurfing school offers lessons and equipment rental, allowing you to learn or practice at a comfortable pace. The best season for kitesurfing generally runs from November to April.

Further north, Bulalacao Waterfalls, in Barangay Bucana, feels more remote. Reached after a short walk through lush surroundings, its tall cascade and quiet atmosphere make it a calm and rewarding visit.

Mangrove tour

The Dewil Eco Mangrove Tour takes place in the quiet surroundings of Dewil Valley and is done by small traditional bangka, with a maximum of four guests. The slow pace and calm waters create a peaceful way to experience the mangroves.

Led by the local community, the tour supports conservation and local livelihoods while offering a gentle connection with nature.

Manta ray watching

In the peaceful fishing village of Sibaltan, manta ray watching offers a gentle encounter with reef manta rays, known for their wide wingspans and graceful movement. Snorkeling is done at a respectful distance, allowing these calm giants to move freely in their natural environment.

This seasonal experience is best from April to December, ideal for those drawn to quiet moments in nature.

Scuba diving

Beneath the surface, El Nido reveals clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and abundant marine life. Suitable for both beginners and experienced divers, scuba diving here offers a calm and memorable way to connect with the sea.

Surf

Surfing in El Nido moves with the seasons. From November to April, consistent winds and waves create inviting conditions along nearby beaches such as Lio Beach, Duli Beach, and Nacpan Beach.

Lio Beach is well suited for beginners, with gentle waves and a relaxed setting. Duli Beach offers a quieter experience, known for its steady surf and open scenery, while Nacpan Beach is appreciated for its long, rolling waves, ideal for both longboards and shortboards.

Village tourism

Village tourism offers a gentle way to connect with local life in El Nido. Visiting rural communities supports the local economy while opening space to learn about daily rhythms, traditions, and the surrounding natural environment.

Villages such as Bucana, Sibaltan, and New Ibajay invite quiet exploration — from fishing communities and mangrove areas to traditional weaving using natural fibers. These experiences create meaningful exchanges that benefit both visitors and the local community.

Waterfalls

There are several waterfalls around El Nido. For a quieter and more rewarding experience, we recommend following:

Kuyawyaw Waterfalls, located near Taytay, is about an hour’s drive from El Nido. Set among dense greenery and natural rock formations, it offers a peaceful setting shaped by forest and water.

Further north, Bulalacao Waterfalls, in Barangay Bucana, feels more remote. Reached after a short walk through lush surroundings, its tall cascade and quiet atmosphere make it a calm and rewarding visit.

All tours are available as private or shared. Private tours offer more space and flexibility, while shared tours are a more affordable option. Most trips use traditional bangka boats, with speedboats available for a faster experience. We’re happy to help you choose and arrange the tour that best fits your stay in El Nido.
